WELCOME TO THE WORLD OF MALENE BIRGER
Malene Birger is synonymous with uncompromising style and attention to detail. Having founded and led two of Denmark’s most successful international fashion brands (Day Birger & Mikkelsen and By Malene Birger) the multiple award-winning designer has since honed her creative craft on numerous projects across interior design, fashion, art and jewellery.
In 2015 she founded the eponymous design consultancy, “The World of Malene Birger”. As a self-proclaimed nomad, she has spent the last 17 years designing, renovating and living in homes in Mallorca, London and Tremezzo, on the western banks of Italy’s Lake Como and on the Greek island of Skyros. Malene Birger has recently returned to the Balearics from where she creates unique artworks, including sculptures and ceramics. From her paradise like studio she paints on canvas, creates drawings on paper and shapes clay into sculptural forms and occasionally designs beautiful adornments in 18 karat gold and baroque freshwater pearls.
