Bio
Audrey Werthle was born in Lyon. Very early on attracted by clay, she chose to make it her career as a ceramist. Once she graduated from the Design Academy in Eindhoven, she set up her workshop in Brussels where she continued her experiments in the fields of ceramics and textiles. His practice oscillates between art, design and craftsmanship.
Fascinated by the ancestral technique of the coil, this work plunges her into a meditative state where her hands are both tool and thought with fine coils rolled by hand and superimposed in a repetitive manner: the construction of the whole is a process slow and primitive.
